A letter to God summary

Lencho was a diligent farmer and a devout follower of God. He was hoping for a good yield. However, to his dismay, a thunderstorm struck, completely destroying his produce. Even in the face of such adversity, he felt confident that God would assist him. As a result, he wrote a letter to God. He prayed to God to provide him with one hundred pesos in the letter. He then proceeded to the post office and dropped his letter in the mailbox.

When the postman spotted the address, he burst out laughing and dashed over to the postmaster, showing him the bizarre letter. When he read the letter, though, he became very serious. He praised this man for his unwavering faith in God and decided to assist him financially.

Just a little more than 50 pesos were collected by the postmaster and other staff, as asked by Lencho. Lencho showed up at the post office once more on Sunday.

The postmaster and the employees read the letter after Lencho had left. In it, Lencho criticized the fact that he had only been given seventy pesos. He also asked God to send him the remaining funds this time. He did, however, request that the money not be sent through the mail. He said that the post office staff were a gang of thieves who had stolen the money.
